A long time ago, at the very beginning of history, there was a time when no one really knew about God. But God decided he would change that. God decided to choose one family from all the people in the world to be the first of his people. Their names were Abraham and Sarah. From them, God would create a whole nation.

Lesson Prayer:

Lord God, our haveanly Father, we give you thanks for the promises you made to Abraham and Sarah. Help us to trust you in faith like they did, that we too would be numbered among your children. We ask that you would bless us to be a blessing to others, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

Memory Verse:

Just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness” ... Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. (Gal. 3:6-7)
