Hymn Text

1 On Calvary, where Jesus died, for all the world was crucified,
We find the message we still bring, from pulpit and in songs we sing.
His cross grants peace and certainty for He was crucified for me;
Before Him I could ever claim it granted me His gracious fame.

2 That Cross gives us a sure relief when desp'rate hearts cling with belief;
And it alone is all our need for all from sin and death are freed.
The fruits of Christ the Crucified at this His altar are supplied;
His Body and His Blood, it's true, are given us, for me, for you.

3 So let us go, proclaiming Christ, Who for our lives was sacrificed:
Him crucified our message one, sufficient as the ages run.
For when the final rest is ours, and finished are all earthly pow'rs,
All eyes will once for all be shown the Cross has been the Way alone.
