The Season of Pentecost Year A
Pentecost 1 of 2 — Summer 2026
The general tone for worship in the season of Pentecost, particularly during the summer months, is that of growth and flourishing. This season of the liturgical year is a time for focusing on growing in discipleship, deepening our relationship with God, and faithful obedience in following Jesus Christ. The long season of green Sundays is often referred to as "Ordinary Time." The word “ordinary” connotes the designation of Sundays by ordinal numbers rather than special names.
