The Holy Cross of Jesus
1 The Holy Cross of Jesus,
has long before us stood.
It calls us all to gather
in faith and servanthood;
We celebrate the promise
that brought us here this day,
And thank the Lord for leading
each step along the way.
2 We gather in the presence
of this his Holy Cross,
Remembering the promise
the Lord has given us.
Our God is always faithful
and by His will we know
That as one living body,
God made the Church to grow.
3 The Holy Cross of Jesus
will long before us stand;
We trust that God will lead us
by his own guiding hand.
We pray this sign the Lord would
upon our hearts emboss,
That we may live each new day,
marked by his Holy Cross.
