This book is a simple and meaningful telling of the Biblical story of the coming of Jesus Christ. The book's special attribute is the focus each day on one person, object, or animal that adds to the developing drama. Advent is a season of waiting and praying as we watch God at work over time. This one-by-one devotional style lets the family expierence the essential rhythm of the life of faith.

This book is best used with a multi-piece nativity set (or creche). The devotions in this book are prepared using and referring to Fontanini brand nativity characters. Of course, other types or brands of nativity charactes may be used. If and when a devotional story in this book is read and your family does not have the piece described in the story, your family can still benefit from the devotion and enjoy the character photo provided in the book.

Each daily devotion contains a Bible verse, a devotional thought and prayer, a nativity character photo and a discussion question. A Christmas carol is also suggested for each day so that singing might be included as part of the daily worship experience.
