Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.”And he said to them, “When you pray, pray like this ...”  (Luke 11:1-2) 

When asked by his disciples how to pray, Jesus gave his disciples words that have been used for centuries by the Christian Church. The Lord’s Prayer — “the prayer our Lord has taught us” — is for all people at all times. It has lived in the hearts and minds of believers for two thousand years as the model Jesus himself has given us to pray.

This study is not simply about the words of the Lord’s Prayer; it digs deep into what the Bible has to say about the reality and purpose of prayer in general and its practical experience in our daily lives. May the familiar and beloved words of this ancient prayer echo with new meaning in your daily  walk with Jesus.
