Walking by Faith, Not by Sight
Walking by Faith, Not by Sight
A Nine-Session Bible Study
by the Rev. Brian Crocker
(with discussion questions by the Rev. Taylor Rister-Stempniak)
“We are always of good courage ... for we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)
This nine-session series “Walking by Faith, Not by Sight” focuses on the nature of the Christian life here in this world, and how in this between-time, we live with a trust in what is already accomplished ... but not yet revealed. Faith asks us to cling to God’s promise despite evidence to the contrary. It believes that even if the promise is not fulfilled in our mortal walk of seeing, it will be fulfilled in God’s time and in the world to come and the new life promised through Christ. This study is written for people of faith who look at their lives and wish they were doing better, or perhaps that they could simply believe more strongly in the face of difficulties and doubts. It is written for those who would like to see more evidence of God’s new creation in themselves, but trust that God still has work to do in us all.
