Authors' Description of the Musical Story:
Sam, the Shams and the Shepherd King focuses on God’s ability to accomplish His gracious purposes through all people--including children. The child Samuel learns of God’s will and promises. Throughout his life, Samuel serves the Lord as a judge, and eventually as Israel’s first prophet. The pinnacle of Samuel’s service to the Lord culminates when he anoints Israel’s greatest king, David. The Lord promises David a descendant of his will be King forever! As disciples we know the King who the Lord promised: Jesus our Messiah.

Introducing “Sola Musicals: Drama Camp Resources”

Sola Publishing offers a number of pre-packaged resources for leading a week-long Drama Camp, where children and youth learn and participate in producing a musical drama.  Hosting a Summer Drama Camp operates in a manner similar to a week of Vacation Bible School, held within a congregation or as a program for children and youth of the whole community. It can serve as a great evangelism tool to invite the participation of people from outside the church. Cast lists were originally designed for a camp of roughly 30-40 children, with many speaking and non-speaking roles. However, parts can be easily combined to accommodate a smaller group of children. The week can be structured using half-days or whole days, according to local preference.

This is a Downloadable and Reproducible Product
Purchase of this downloadable product from Sola Publishing includes permission granted to the purchaser to photocopy and reproduce the script for local congregational use, creating as many copies as necessary for children and leaders. This permission does not allow files to be shared with other parishes or individuals. If others are interested in this program, Sola asks that they purchase their own copy from www.solapublishing.com.
