God-Empowered Evangelism
God-Empowered Evangelism
A Guide for Lutherans
by Kent Groethe
Making Christ known is the most important task of the church. Yet, in North America at least, few believers share Jesus with those who do not yet know Him. Few mainline churches even bring up the subject. We must admit that we have lost our passion for the lost. As a result, so many people are left in the dark, outside of redemption and fellowship with God.
In this book, Kent Groethe addresses evangelism from a Lutheran perspective. His goal is to jump-start interest in this essential work of the church for those just starting out and to encourage those who are already making Christ known in their lives. The focus is on Godempowered evangelism, where the role of the Holy Spirit in our witness is primary.
The strategy outlined in this book is one that any Christian can follow. You do not have to go knocking at strangers' doors, force your faith upon those you know or carry a Bible everywhere. You simply need to start praying and work out from there. This task is too important to neglect or ignore. People need the Lord!
