Lesson Prayer

Merciful Father, it is by your strength that we are able to face each new day. Help us to never lose our confidence in you, even when things around us are grim. Thank you for watching over us and protecting us from our enemies. In Jesus’ holy name we pray. Amen.

Memory Verse

Samson grasped the two middle pillars on which the house rested, and he leaned his weight against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other. (Judges 16:29)

Creative Idea for the Week

Pantomime Readings:
One of the easiest ways to dramatize a story — and something that can be done even with pre-readers — is to have students physically act out stories silently as they are read by a narrator. Emphasize facial expression and reactions, as well as hand and body motions.  In the story of Samson, the various characters exhibit many diferent emotional states (pride, sadness, guilt, malice, anger, helplessness, etc.)
