Daniel in the Lion's Den

Biblical Basis • Daniel 6:3-10, 13-23
During the time of the exile, the Prophet Daniel faithfully served in the court of the Persian King Darius. But Daniel's enemies plotted to have him removed. When forbidden to worship, Daniel continued to pray to the Lord, for which he received the sentence of death and was thrown into a den of lions.

Lesson Prayer
Everlasting Father, there are many forces around us that seek to destroy our faith or distract us from our relationship with you. Thank you for never abandoning us. Strengthen our resolve to serve and worship you alone, despite the risk we may face. May our lives always point to your glory. We pray this in the name of Christ. Amen.
