Walking Together
A Bible Study on the Importance of Fellowship in our Lives as Disciples of Christ
by Rev. Jack Aamot
One of the most important words we find in the New Testament is the word "fellowship." From the Greek word koinonia, it refers to the life we share with others in Christ as brothers and sisters in the family of God. God gives us this gift by grafting us into the larger Body of Christ, giving us a place alongside one another as we journey together in faith. Yet, too often, we ignore or neglect the ties that bind us together, thinking that faith is something merely between us and God alone. But God has made us a part of something much bigger! He blesses our lives as disciples of Christ when we walk together with others, bound in love by "one Lord, one faith, and one baptism."
