LIFE in God: A Devotional

The devotions offered here are for spiritual support for those who give so much of themselves to those they love and care for, sometimes to the detriment of their own health and well-being. The devotionals are divided into four categories signified by the acronym LIFE: Lament, Invitation, Forgiveness and Epiphany. As we move from lament into the invitation to dwell in the love of Christ, we can find forgiveness for ourselves and those around us (friends and family members, the medical community and the one to whom we give care). Then, finally, we come to a sense of God's presence with us - an epiphany of sorts - as faith grows and our awareness of God at work in our midst deepens. Through his Word, the promise of God is realized in our lives, just as Jesus told his disciples: "I have come that you might have life and have it abundantly" (John 10:10).
